AGP Scholars Program

Avant Garde College Prep Services wants to help you achieve your college goals! We are providing full services for free to 1 rising Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior until High School graduation. This college-prep program provides opportunities to high-achieving students preparing for secondary education. Opportunities range from subject tutoring, SAT/ACT prep assistance, locating and applying for camps and internships, and assistance with college visits.



At Avant Garde - College Prep Services (AGP), we hope to bridge the gap between aspiration and achievement. We work to use our resources as bridges, making the journey from high school to university more accessible. Acceptance is based on academic achievement and financial need, with preference given to first-generation students.

Eligibility Criteria

  • High school student who resides in or near Brazos County.

  • Current Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior year high school classification.

  • Potentially Pell Grant Eligible (AGI of $60,000 or less)

  • First-generation is preferred

    • (1) Counselor or Teacher (from a Core Subject) Recommendation Letter (emailed to

    • Short Answer Question: In 250 words or less, tell us about your academic goals, any challenges that you're currently experiencing, and the resources needed to meet your goals. 

  • Finalists who are selected will receive an interview. ​
